It was a gorgeous November day when this couple got married at the Cummer Museum. I always love it when couples choose gardens to get married in, because there’s so much to do with it photographically. You couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather… or a more beautiful setting… or a more beautiful couple. Gosh, I’m gushing over how awesome this was. Let me just show you.

Emily & Mark’s wedding this past weekend was spectacular! They were married on the Grand Lawn at Oakleaf Plantation in Orange Park, Florida. What a privilege it was to be part of their day. Here’s a tiny peek at their day.

Atlantic Beach Wedding | Hannah & Drew

Couples that choose a beach wedding are gutsy. There’s the heat of Florida, no shade, the chance of severe wind, rain when the beach breeze can’t hold it back… all were forecast the day of Hannah & Drew’s wedding. Drops of rain hit my windshield on the way to the venue and we had to dodge a few during pictures, but when ceremony time loomed, the skies opened up in sunshine, not storms. Of course, the payoff was fantastic.. what better setting for photos than blue skies, white sand, and water?

Hannah & Drew got married at Ocean Ave & 8th Street in Atlantic Beach, FL. It was an ideal location with the Adele Grage Cultural Center just two blocks away, where they held the reception afterwards. If you’re looking for a smaller space for an intimate wedding, I suggest the Adele Grage. It was bright, beautiful, and such a convenient walk.

Jacksonville Wedding Photographer | A Texas Wedding in San Antonio

A couple of months ago, I announced my first destination wedding in Medina, TX, a short drive out of San Antonio. I wasn’t prepared for what an amazing adventure it was or how I would be treated… just like a member of their family. Porter and Raphaelle were incredibly fun to shoot; He is one of those kinds of guys with a warm heart and a gazillion friends. She is infectiously joyful, her smile and laughter untethered.

We all stayed up at the hunting lodge at the Trail’s End Ranch, an exotic animal ranch in Medina, TX… and by ‘we all’, I mean me and all 24 members of the wedding party. So many people from his and her lives, and everyone got along famously.

Let me introduce you to the ranch with this first photo shot from the backyard of the house, also the backdrop for the wedding….

I first met Mike and Kristin for their engagement session in January. Even though they’d been dating for several years, you could still see the mutual respect and playfulness they had for each other in everything they did. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding as well, at St. John’s Golf and Country Club on the most perfect day yet of 2010. Mike summed it up perfectly at the end of the night when I asked him if he was enjoying his day. “How could I not? Everyone I love is here in one place!” There were tears from both the bride and the groom when the ceremony was complete, and the family celebrated in style. Here’s a short recap of the day in pictures.

Thank you, you two, for letting me be apart of such a special day in your lives. The love and appreciation you have for each other was tangible.

19 years old and a Marine shipping off to Afghanistan; a wedding with less than a week’s notice. It’s wonderfully heartbreaking and romantic at the same time, and I’m so glad I had the chance to capture them together on their special day. Clayton and Aubrey got married on Valentine’s Day in their grandmother’s backyard, a small intimate affair with family and friends. Let me share with you a few images from that night:

Junkyard Wedding in Jacksonville

An increasingly exciting trend in wedding photography is the post-wedding ‘Trash the Dress’ or ‘Rock the Dress’ session, which allows photographer and bride to create some really unique images in a setting where one would usually NEVER see a wedding dress. Muddy beaches, salt water, old abandoned buildings, and even airplane hangers have trashed some really nice dresses all in the name of art and photography — but for a recent session, we chose a junkyard in Atlantic Beach, Florida.

Let me just tell you… Rachel *really* rocked this dress, and it’s lived to be worn another day. Even though she was crawling all over rusty machines, it didn’t get a spot on it. I’ll have to write that dress maker and give them some major kudos.

And then I saw this truck, how fun is this? If I ever have to shoot a redneck wedding, I’m prepared! ;) hah!

So deliciously fun…
